He is survived by: his wife Nelva Sosa Slagle; his sons, George Jr. and Stephen; his sister Bonnie Armstrong of Duxbury, MA.; his grandchildren, Sgt. Caleb Slagle of El Paso, Tobias and Megan Slagle of Kerrville; and his nieces and nephews, Stephanie Raftery, Meredith Murphy, James Quine, David Armstrong, Scott Armstrong, Jeff Armstrong and Katherine Kane.
