Anthony Thomas Farrell Obituary
Anthony (“Tony”) Thomas Farrell, 42, of Wakefield, MA passed away peacefully on Wednesday August 21, 2024.
Tony was the beloved son of Diana C. Farrell and her late husband Gerard of Sebastian, Florida, and Thomas Stansbury Quincy. He was a cherished grandson of Joseph E. and the late Catherine J. (Celi) Farrell of Florida and Randolph. Tony was a loving nephew of Joseph P. Farrell and his wife Patty of Abington, and Thomas C. Farrell and his wife Betsy of Newburyport.
Tony was born in Boston, MA and grew up in Randolph, Braintree, and Marshfield, graduating from Marshfield High School with honors. From a young age, Tony was mechanically inclined and could fix most things. After graduation from High School, Tony went on to ITT Technical Institute to refine his technical abilities, and then worked in the auto body field for many years.
In his thirties, Tony experienced the onset of a seizure condition and bi-polar disorder, and other health conditions, while also struggling with substance addiction, which led to the loss of his job. He struggled daily and bravely with these conditions for many years, and eventually found work again, had an apartment, and regained stability.
Tony genuinely liked people, had a bright smile, and was ready to join in the fun wherever and whenever it was happening; he liked meeting new people and connecting with them. True to his personality, Tony was both self-proclaimed and affectionately known as "Tony the One and Only." Although he could no longer drive due to his seizure condition, he had his phone at the ready and kept in touch regularly with those he loved.
Tony loved his mom and called her every day – sometimes multiple times in the same day.
Family and relatives only are invited to the visitation hours from 4-6 PM on Thursday, August 29, 2024.
Family, relatives, and friends are respectfully invited to attend Tony’s Funeral Mass at 10:00 AM on Friday, August 30, 2024 at St. Mary Catholic Church, located at 211 North Main St., Randolph, MA 02368. Cremation will follow.
