He was predeceased by: his parent Virginia Hughes (Shanley). He is survived by: his parent John T. Hughes, Sr; his children, Kate, Oliver P. and Thomas Hawksworth Hughes; and his siblings, Patricia Hughes, Sally Hughes and Ellen Gallagher.
