She was predeceased by: her husband John P. Gifford Sr.; her son Peter R. Gifford; her siblings, Louis Merolli, Albert Merolli and Marietta Carles; and her granddaughter Carolyn Brennan.
She is survived by: her former husband Luigi Merolli; her sisters, Marietta Merolli (Carles), Francesca Merolli (Gniadek) and Barbara Merolli (Anderson); her children, Viola, John P. "Jack" Gifford Jr. (Patricia) of Woodstock, CT., Ann A. Korswig (Karl) of East Woodstock, CT. and Christine Y. Gifford of Putnam, CT.; her sisters, Barbara Anderson of Smithfield, RI and Frances Gniadek of Venice, FL; her grandchildren, Valerie Redpath, Seth Logee, Noah Donovan (Robyn Van Hise), Shea Donovan (Alex McMahan), Matthew Gifford (Jessica) and Emily Gifford Shaw (Mark Kreamer); and her great grandchildren, Jacoby Jutras, Harrison Yeary, Ronan Gifford, Ethan Gifford, Daisy Donovan, Briar Donovan, Esther Redpath, Parker Redpath and Maizie Hummel-Logee.
