Richard W. Ayer II Obituary
With solemn hearts, we announce the passing of Richard W. Ayer II of Uxbridge, Massachusetts, born in Kittery, Maine, whose presence will be deeply missed, having departed on January 8, 2025 at the age of 73. He was predeceased by: his parents, Richard W. Ayer and Sophie Ayer (Miller). He is survived by: his wife Kristin Ayer; his children, Richard W. Ayer III (Holly) of Illinois, Matt Ayer of Oregon, Greg Ayer (Jessica) of California and Amanda Ayer of Medway; his granddaughters, Abigail, Emma and Isabelle; and his siblings, Sandra Harkins of Lisbon, ME. and Robert Ayer of Lisbon, ME..
Visitation was held on Monday, January 13th 2025 from 4:00 PM to 7:00 PM and on Tuesday, January 14th 2025 from 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM at the Buma Funeral Home (101 N Main St, Uxbridge, MA 01569). A funeral service was held on Tuesday, January 14th 2025 at 11:00 AM at the same location.
In lieu of flowers the family asks for donations to the Franklin HS Unified Sports Program through the Franklin, Mass High School — a program partnered with the Special Olympics that includes students with and without intellectual disabilities to provide every student the opportunity to engage in sports , c/o Franklin High School, 218 Oak St, Franklin, MA 02038.
