It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Elaine B Kelly of Uxbridge, Massachusetts, born in Whitinsville, Massachusetts, who passed away on April 22, 2023, at the age of 88, leaving to mourn family and friends. She was predeceased by: her husband John J. "Jack" Kelly; her parents, Frank Bombara and Mary Bombara (Bordiga); and her sister Helen M. Shannon (Bombara). She is survived by: her sibling Francis "Frank" Bombara; her children, Joan M. Butterfield (Bruce) of Westerly, RI, Rosemary Kelly Pond (Stephen) of Northborough, Timothy E. Kelly (Ann) of Shrewsbury and Patrick J. Kelly (Cheryl) of Douglas; her grandchildren, Caitlin, Padraic and Liam Rafferty; her children, Benjamin, Christopher, Aleksandra Pond, Shannon, Sean Kelly, Kathryn, Brenna and Riley Kelly; her great grandchildren, Conor and Cameron Rafferty; and her friends, Elaine, Jack and Marguerite "Peggy" Denis. She is also survived by several nieces, nephews, and friends.
During the last 5 years at Lydia Taft House, Elaine developed a wonderful friendship with her roommate Marguerite "Peggy" Denis, who became her close companion and supporter especially when they were quarantined for several months during the COVID-19 pandemic.
