With solemn hearts, we announce the passing of Katherin R. Weir of Upton, Massachusetts, born in Mount Pleasant, Ohio, whose presence will be deeply missed, having departed on August 29, 2024 at the age of 94. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
As we bid adieu to Katherin's earthly form, let us not dwell on the void left in her wake, but rather celebrate the legacy of love and inspiration Katherin has bequeathed us. For though she may have departed from our sight, her spirit remains a timeless beacon, guiding loved ones through the labyrinth of life's journey.
She was predeceased by: her husband Colin B. Weir; and her parents, Arthur C. McCardle and Pearl McCardle (Wilson) of West Virginia. She is survived by: her son David S. Weir (Cynthia A. Weir) of Upton; her granddaughters, Alicia M. Berkowicz (Ryan Berkowicz) of Northbridge and Erica L. Weir of Blackstone; her great grandchildren, Gemma Berkowicz and Charlotte Berkowicz; and her brother-in-law Lawrence W. Weir (Elizabeth Weir) of Rochester, NY. She is also survived by many nieces and nephews.
This involvement allowed her to engage in numerous charity events, where her compassionate spirit shone brightly.
