He was loved and cherished by many people including: his parent Hollis; his wife Mary Barr; his daughters, Angie (Mark Walker) and Shay (Kevin Sanders); his grandchildren, Martin, Katie Phiffer of Midland, TX, Hadyn, Gracesyn Weaver and Paxtyn Wills of Midlothian, TX; and his great grandchildren, Kam and Nevin Phiffer.

In lieu of flowers, the family asks that memorials be given in his memory to Hill Country Memorial Hospital, the Fredericksburg SPCA, or a charity of one's choice.
