He was loved and cherished by many people including: his wife Barbara (Popplewell); his parents, Richard W. Barrelle, Sr. and Barbara Barrelle Mahoney (Scobie); his stepfather Henry Mahoney; his children, Sherri (Mark Connors) of Hudson, NH and Craig (Brenda Barrelle) of Boca Raton, FL; his brother David (Ellie Barrelle) of Venice, FL; his sister-in-law Helen Hanafin; his grandsons, Evan Connors (Syd) and Bruce Connors (Lindsey Ewing); his great grandchildren, Scarlett, Evan Connors and Grace Lyko; his grandson Mark J. Connors, Jr.; and also Aimee (Cam Coulter). He was also cherished by "Papa", several nieces and nephews, and many great friends.

Memorials may be made in his name to Lowell General Hospital, 295 Varnum Ave., Lowell, MA 01854.
