He was predeceased by: his parents, John Brooks and Mary Brooks (Church); his brothers, John and Richard Brooks; and his brother-in-law Robert Glenn.
He is survived by: his siblings, Paul Brooks (Merry) of Boxford, Pauline Glenn of Peabody, Donald Brooks (Mary) of Danvers and Carol Trodella (Dana) of Reading; and his sister-in-law Julia Brooks of The Villages, FL. He is also survived by many nieces and nephews.
