He was predeceased by: his parents, Francis T. McCarthy and Gladys McCarthy (Williams); and his sister Virginia Cogan. He is survived by: his wife Martina McCarthy (Megele); his children, Michael McCarthy (Betsy) of Tyngsboro, Charlotte McCarthy of Jaffrey, NH, Susan Hayden of Tyngsboro and Erika LaRiviere (Daniel) of Hudson, NH; his grandchildren, Kristen, Michael, Lindsey, Gregory, Matthew, Jenna, Genevieve, George and Julie; his great grandchildren, Kailani, Aubrey, Christian, Madison, Scarlet, Thomas and Travis; his siblings, Mary Petren (William), David McCarthy (Fran), Dorothy Moore (Glenn), Kathleen Taylor (Jim), Richard McCarthy (Kathy) and Francis McCarthy (Brenda); his sisters-in-law, Ann McCarthy and Grace McCarthy; and his siblings, Eloise Kenner, William McCarthy, John McCarthy, Daniel McCarthy and Gerald McCarthy. He is also survived by many nieces, nephews, and cousins.
