Shirley Brule Obituary
It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Shirley Brule (Turners Falls, Massachusetts), born in Montague, Massachusetts, who passed away on November 24, 2018, at the age of 90, leaving to mourn family and friends. She was predeceased by: her husband Art; and her sisters, Elizabeth "Pete" Gessing and June O'Riley. She is survived by: her parents, Alan "Abe" and Hannah Smith (Heffernan); her granddaughter Susan; her children, David (Monique) of Millers Falls and Susan Bellemare; her husband Bob of West Whately; her grandsons, Kevin Brule of Millers Falls and Jesse Bellemare (Sarah); her great grandchildren, Ada of Greenfield and Lucy Bellemare of Greenfield; and her friend Marion Ryan of Turners Falls. She is also survived by several nieces and nephews.
Because Shirley knew well what it was like to live through hard times, her family suggests that, in lieu of flowers, donations be made to The Food Bank of Western Massachusetts or a favorite local charitable organization.
