He was loved and cherished by many people including: his parents, Alexander N. Girard and Anna Koskuba; his sisters, Mildred Girard, Marie Palmer and Lorraine DeBarge; his wife Eleanor S. Smiley; his children, Mary E. and Robert J. Jr.; and his sister-in-law Ruth Ann Paden. He was also cherished by nephew, several nieces and cousins, and his many very special friends.
