It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Kenneth E. Mattson of Townsend, Massachusetts, born in Fitchburg, Massachusetts, who passed away on December 24, 2023, at the age of 89, leaving to mourn family and friends. He was predeceased by: the mother of his children Carol "Mimi" Mattson (Austin); his wife Kathryn Mattson (Bitonti); and his granddaughter Katie Hamilton. He is survived by: his children, Cathi Whitcomb (Steven) of Brookline, NH, Kenneth J. Mattson (Terri) of Townsend and Brenda Garretson (Charles) of Townsend; his grandchildren, Shannon Whitcomb, Sarah Whitcomb-LaBelle, Jessica Silver, Kimberly Tocci, Christopher and Nicholas Garretson; and his brother Ronald Mattson (Linda Norton) of Rhode Island. He is also survived by 13 great-grandchildren and two great-great-grandchildren.
