He was predeceased by: his parents, Manson E. and Helene Cowan (Libbey). He is survived by: his sons, David R. Cowan of Townsend and Jason L. Cowan (Julie) of Townsend; his sister Judith Agnew of Leominster; and his grandchildren, Shannon P. Cowan and Erin M. Cowan.
