Derby of Townsend, Massachusetts, born in Concord, Massachusetts leaves a void in the hearts of many, as we bid farewell to a loving soul who departed on August 22, 2024 at the age of 67. He was predeceased by: his parents, Richard and Flavia Derby (DeMars); his grandson Conor Stelmach; his nephew Jeffrey Derby; and his siblings, James Derby, Jeffrey Derby, Anita Sedillo and Roberta Franklin.

He is survived by: his wife Nancy C. Derby (Grierson) of Townsend; his children, James R. Boardman (Lisa Hjelm) of Ashby, Timothy B. Derby (Rachael) of Groton, VT and Barbara A. Cardarelli (Frank) of West Boylston; his siblings, Richard Derby of Maynard, Philip Derby of Blairsville, GA, Linda Dalton of Jacksonville, FL and Loretta Laskey of Pooler, GA; his grandchildren, Michael Boardman, Luke Stelmach, Alice Derby, Wyatt Guptill and Wyatt Giroux; and his great grandchild Addison Boardman. He is also survived by several nephews and nieces.
