He was predeceased by: his parents, Jerome Hopkins and Janet Hopkins (Ingalls); and his siblings, Samuel Hopkins and Meredith Wallace (Hopkins). He is survived by: his wife Cheryl Hopkins (Smith) of Danvers; his children, Tom (Marci), Carla (Richard Adams) of Essex and Betsy Hopkins (Robert Fitzgerald); and his grandchildren, Janet Hopkins of Bedford, Heather Adams and Kevin Adams of Essex.
