He was predeceased by: his parents, Edward P. McGovern and Helen E. McGovern (Nolan); and his brother Edward McGovern. He is survived by: his wife Sandra; his children, Todd McGovern of New Boston, NH, Terri-Lynne Tavares (Jorge "Jay") of Topsfield and Troy McGovern of Topsfield; his grandchildren, Joshua, Amanda, Matthew and Caroline; his great grandchild Trystin; and his siblings, Helen Garnham, Kathleen Rooney, Maureen Pariseau, Thomas and Edwina McGovern. He is also survived by many nieces and nephews.
