He was predeceased by: his parent Warren W. Layne. He is survived by: his husband Lindalee T. (Symonds); his parent Elizabeth Layne (Mackey); his sons, Kenneth W. Layne (Jennifer), Keith R. Layne (Bethany) and Frederick O'Connor (Lisa); his grandchildren, Brynn Layne, Kaden Layne, Kiley Layne, Christian O'Connor and Brendan O'Connor; his siblings, Cheryl Accardi (Anthony) of Wells, ME and Richard Layne (Christine); his sisters-in-law, Deborah Layne (Maguire) and Yong Ae Layne; and his brother Tewksbury Deputy Police Chief. He is also survived by many nieces and nephews.
