He was predeceased by: his parents, Michael L. Jefferson and Rose Jefferson (Xenakis); his former wife Mary Jefferson (Sophocles); and his siblings, Bettina Argetes and Cleo Wilson.
He is survived by: his wife Carolyn J. Jefferson (Hess); his children, Michael Jefferson (Kathleen) of Racine, WI, Despy Bales (Thomas) of Wayne, IL, Deanna M. Walliser (Joseph Zartler) of Northampton, PA and Laure E. Walliser-Fajardo (William) of Tewksbury; his grandchildren, Corinne Hoffman, Douglas Gutekunst, Nicholas P. Jefferson, Elyse Rivera, Ashley Walliser, Isaac Miller, Alexia Bales and Tianna Bales; and his brother John Jefferson of Arlington. He is also survived by seven great grandchildren.
