He was predeceased by: his parents, Douglas E. Tower and Annette Tower (Bettencourt); and his siblings, Gladys Streeter, Mildred Cenedella, Douglas Tower Jr., John Tower, Laura Blake, George Tower, Edward Tower and Wallace Tower.
He is survived by: his wife Marie A. Tower (Allen); his sons, Paul S. M. D. (Diane Tower) of Andover, James M. (Anita Tower) of Hopedale, Mark A. Tower (Sarah Gilbert) and Joel A. (Robyn Tower) of Nashua, NH; his sister Dorothy Marchand of Florida; his grandchildren, Michael, Christine, Carolyn, Douglas and Emily; and his great grandchildren, Brady, Leah, Quinn, Dean and Sophie. He is also survived by many nieces and nephews.
