He was predeceased by: his parents, George Franklin, Sr. and Beatrice (Celata) of Saugus; and his wife Christina A. Franklin (MacKenzie). He is survived by: his stepchildren, Richard Spataro (Ann) of Melrose, Donna Rowe (Ernest) of Saugus and Mary Groux (Thomas) of Tewksbury; his grandchildren, Cindy, Michael, Nicole, Jenna, David, Craig, Kristina, Daniel, Miranda, Sarah, Justin and Mackenzie; his great grandchildren, Savannah, Keira, Max, Lucy, Cameron, Anthony, Caiden, Lindsey, Hannah, Nate, Thomas and Abby; his sister Judi Alabiso; his nieces and nephews, David Hatfield (Valerie) of Wakefield and Tracy Hatfield of Saugus; and his great-nieces and great-nephews, Alexandra, Jack, Craig and Lucia.
Visitation was held on Monday, December 16th 2024 from 4:00 PM to 7:00 PM at the Gately Funeral Home (79 W Foster St, Melrose, MA 02176). A funeral service was held on Tuesday, December 17th 2024 at 11:00 AM at the same location. A burial was held on Tuesday, December 17th 2024 at 12:00 PM at the Wyoming Cemetery (205 Sylvan St, Melrose, MA 02176).
