It is with deep sorrow that we announce the death of Frances R. Canto of Tewksbury, Massachusetts, who passed away on April 13, 2025, at the age of 91, leaving to mourn family and friends. You can send your sympathy in the guestbook provided and share it with the family.
She was predeceased by: her parents, Nicholas Siracusa and Theresa Siracusa (Trinchitella); and her husband Domenic Canto. She is survived by: her children, Nicholas Canto (Laura) of Tewksbury and Terri Battaglia (Joe) of Tewksbury; her grandchildren, Christian Canto (Lauren), Alex Canto, Noah Canto, Tyler Battaglia (Aria) and Brett Battaglia (Grace); her great grandchild Emelia Canto; and her sister Rita Melloni (Bob) of Peabody. She is also survived by many loving nieces and nephews.
Visitation will be held on Monday, April 21st 2025 from 5:00 PM to 8:00 PM at the George L Doherty Funeral Service (855 Broadway, Somerville, MA 02144). A procession will be held on Tuesday, April 22nd 2025 at 9:00 AM at the same location. A funeral Mass will be held on Tuesday, April 22nd 2025 at 10:00 AM at the St. Catherine Church (179 Summer St, Somerville, MA 02143). A burial will be held on Tuesday, April 22nd 2025 at 11:45 AM at the Woodlawn Cemetery (302 Elm St, Everett, MA 02149).
In lieu of flower's memorial contributions may be made in Frances' name to St. Jude Children's research hospital 501 St. Jude Place Memphis, TN 38105 or to Alzheimer's Association.
