He was predeceased by: his parents, John G. Verhaegen and Evelyn M. Verhaegen (Demers); and his sister Sharon Soares. He is survived by: his wife Joy M. Verhaegen (Mills); his sons, Shane Verhaegen, Jon Verhaegen, Christian Mills, Justin Verhaegen and Travis Verhaegen; his grandchildren, Dillon, Taylor, Amber, Jayden, Logan, Cameron, Kyran and Zoey; and his sisters, Louise Townsend and Deborah Beaupre. He is also survived by husbands; his many nieces and nephews and his wife's large extended family.
