He was predeceased by: his parents, Francisco Moniz and Silvana Moniz (Costa); and his siblings, Ortenca, Manuel, Jose, Luis, Marcelino, Valentina, Alvarinho, Maria and Armezinda.
He is survived by: his wife Maria E. Moniz (Serodio); his children, Joe Moniz (Manuela) of Taunton and Jenny Matos (Jack) of Taunton; his grandsons, Kevin Moniz (Rachel) and Danny Correia; and his great grandchildren, Alanna Correia, Liam Moniz and Mia Moniz. He is also survived by several nieces and nephews.
Visitation was held on Sunday, January 5th 2025 from 2:00 PM to 5:00 PM at the Silva Funeral Home (80 Broadway, Taunton, MA 02780). A funeral service was held on Monday, January 6th 2025 at 8:30 AM at the same location. A Mass of Christian burial was held on Monday, January 6th 2025 at 10:00 AM at the Saint Anthony Church (126 School St, Taunton, MA 02780).
