She was predeceased by: her parents, John Whitters and Nora Whitters (Pelton). She is survived by: her husband Richard Joseph Mendes; her children, Richard (Ginny) of Hacienda Heights, CA and Jan Bairos (Mendes); her grandchildren, Joshua Bairos and Hannah Calise; and her siblings, John Whitters (Ann) and Margaret Ludovina (Whitters) of Anderson. She is also survived by numerous nephews, nieces, grand-nephews and grand-nieces.
Visitation was held on Tuesday, January 7th 2025 from 5:00 PM to 7:00 PM and on Wednesday, January 8th 2025 at 9:00 AM at the O'Keefe-Wade Funeral Home (70 Washington St, Taunton, MA 02780). A Mass of Christian burial was held on Wednesday, January 8th 2025 at 10:00 AM at the Saint Anthonys Church (126 School St, Taunton, MA 02780). A burial was held on Wednesday, January 8th 2025 at 11:00 AM at the St Joseph Cemetery (475 E Britannia St, Taunton, MA 02780).
