She is survived by: her children, Lee DeRosa of Mansfield and Nichelle DeRosa of Boston; her grandson Maximo DeRosa of Boston; and her sisters, Deborah "GiGi" DeRosa (Fulani Butler) of Boston, Helen Castro (Fall River), Danielle Barros of Quincy, Rochelle Shokoti (Ladi) of Cambridge and Sonya Paquin (Scott) of Braintree.

Visitation was held on Friday, January 24th 2025 at 10:00 AM at the Sherman & Jackson Funeral Home (55 N Main St, Mansfield, MA 02048). A funeral service was held on Friday, January 24th 2025 at 11:00 AM at the same location.

In lieu of flowers, Michelle's family has requested that donations in her memory be made to the Massachusetts Association for Mental Health, 50 Federal Street, 6th Floor, Boston, MA 02110.
