It is always difficult saying goodbye to someone we love and cherish. Family and friends must say goodbye to their beloved Mary Plonka of Taunton, Massachusetts, born in Cumberland, Rhode Island, who passed away at the age of 102, on December 20, 2023. She was predeceased by: her husband Joseph T. Plonka; her parents, Joseph Fido and Mary Fido (Wlodarczyk); and her siblings, Charles Fido, Edward Fido, Anna Heard, Helen Cranshaw, Stacia Baldyga, Josephine Marchak and Joan Grondalski.

She is survived by: her daughter Janet Zweigart of Taunton; her grandchildren, Peter Kmiec, Jennifer Kmiec and Joseph Kmiec; and her niece Karen Van Kruiningen.

In lieu of flowers, donations in Mary's memory can be made to Holy Cross Church, 320 High Street, Central Falls, RI 02863 and would be deeply appreciated.

Mary called the chosen few caregivers, her Angel's. I liked to refer to her as St. Mary. Mary I miss you already. Fly high.and watch over us.
