With solemn hearts, we announce the passing of Maria Melo of Taunton, Massachusetts, whose presence will be deeply missed, having departed on September 22, 2024. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.

She was predeceased by: her husband Eduardo Melo; her parents, Pedro Pacheco and Maria Pacheco (Cadete); and her daughter Maria Lucinda Demelo Loras. She is survived by: her caregiver Nelson Loras of Taunton. She is also survived by several nieces, nephews and cousins.
Visitation was held on Thursday, September 26th 2024 from 5:00 PM to 7:00 PM. A funeral service was held on Friday, September 27th 2024 at 9:00 AM at the O'Keefe Wade Funeral Home (70 Washington St, Taunton, MA 02780). A Mass of Christian burial was held on Friday, September 27th 2024 at 10:00 AM at the St. Anthonys Church (126 School St, Taunton, MA 02780).
