She was loved and cherished by many people including: her husband Manuel David DaPonte; her parents, Manuel Leite Melo and Carmo Machado (Medeiros); her siblings, Manuel Melo, Antonio Melo, Dinis Melo, Angelina Melo, Jose Jacinto Melo, David Melo and Deolinda Camara; her daughters, Eduarda DaPonte of Canada, Teresa Bonenfant (Brian) of Taunton and Connie Magan (Ricardo) of Taunton; and her grandchildren, Emanuel DaPonte (Paula) of Taunton, Hermano DaPonte (Maria) and Luis DaPonte of Taunton. She was also cherished by sixteen grandchildren, fourteen great-grandchildren, numerous nieces and nephews and several great nieces and nephews.
