He was predeceased by: his parents, Stanley Butler and Dorothy Butler Sr.. He is survived by: his wife Cissy; his daughters, Andria and Danielle; his brother Stanley Butler Jr.; his sister-in-law Ruth Porter-Butler; and his sister Gloria Butler. He is also survived by many cousins, nieces, great nieces, a great nephew, and a host of family members and friends.

Visitation was held on Wednesday, January 8th 2025 from 9:00 AM to 10:00 AM at the Granby's Funeral Service, Inc. (4021 White Plains Rd, Bronx, NY 10466). A celebration of life was held on Wednesday, January 8th 2025 from 10:00 AM to 12:00 PM at the same location.
