With solemn hearts, we announce the passing of Jose A. Gomes of Taunton, Massachusetts, whose presence will be deeply missed, having departed on January 9, 2025. Family and friends are welcome to send flowers or leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
He was predeceased by: his parents, Jaime and Filomena. He is survived by: his wife Rosa Gomes (Andrade); his daughters, Ana Havey (Spencer), Fernanda Gomes, Dora Gomes and Amy Pacheco (Dennis); his siblings, George B. Gomes (Lucia), Francisco A. Gomes (Maria), Cristina B. DaRocha (late Domingos), Filomena M. Pinheiro (Francisco) and Lucia F. Silva (Joe); and his grandchildren, Matthew Gomes, Zachery Havey, Nathan Pacheco, Joshua Havey, Lilly Pacheco and Makayla Pacheco. He is also survived by several nieces and nephews.
Visitation was held on Tuesday, January 14th 2025 from 8:00 AM to 9:30 AM at the Silva Funeral Home (80 Broadway, Taunton, MA 02780). A Mass of Christian burial was held on Tuesday, January 14th 2025 at 10:00 AM at the Saint Anthony Church (126 School St, Taunton, MA 02780).
