She was predeceased by: her parents, Timothy J. Madigan and Helen Madigan (Gibbons); her spouse Merle R. Johnston; her son Merle Jr.; and her siblings, Frederick Merritt and Barbara Halloran.
She is survived by: her children, Joanne (Evanthea) of Dracut, MA, Craig (Patricia) of Plympton, MA and Carolyne (Robert) of Germany.
