With profound sadness, we say goodbye to Joan E. Smith (Taunton, Massachusetts), whose vibrant spirit touched the lives of many. She was predeceased by: her husband Robert Peers Smith; her parents, William Currie and Emma Elizabeth Langille (King); her daughter Michelle Lynn Smith; her siblings, Florence Stevens (Robert), Donald Langille (Judy) and James Langille (Marilyn); and her brother-in-law Deacon John Welch.
She is survived by: her children, William C. Smith (Adriana), Todd P. Smith (Kellie), Christina E. McCabe (Daniel), Bret W. Smith (Amanda) and Cristle Morel Smith (James); her siblings, Carol Welch and David Langille (Valerie); her grandson William M; and her siblings, Josiah, Aaron, Nadia, Justin, Skyla, Emmaly, Tyler, Erin, Timothy, Amanda, Julian and Lydia. She is also survived by her 7 great grandchildren, along with many nieces nephews.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Alzheimer's Association in honor of Joan's late husband, Bob, who bravely battled this disease. Contributions can be sent to the Alzheimer's Association at 507 County Street, Taunton, MA 02780.
