He was predeceased by: his parents, William O'Connell and Helen O'Connell (Lennane); his daughter Terese Sousa; his grandchild Cameron; and his siblings, William "Oakie" O'Connell and Nancy Koss.
He is survived by: his wife Pat O'Connell (Butler) of Taunton; his children, Susan Donaldson (James) of Lakeville, Lynn Rebello (Richard) of East Falmouth, James O'Connell of New Bedford, Mark O'Connell of East Falmouth and Karen Alves (David) of Dighton; his grandchildren, Brianna, Barrett, Matthew, Stephen, Nathan, Zachary, Dane, Reese, Brittany, Paige, Ashley, Ryan, Amanda, Jessica, Kyle and Connor; and his siblings, Frances Colonna of Falmouth and John O'Connel of Bourne. He is also survived by six children, 17 grandchildren and 7 great grandchildren, 7 great grandchildren.
