He was predeceased by: his parents, Antone Almeida and Anna Almeida (Simas); and his brothers, Jimmy, Tony and Dick.
He is survived by: his wife Lorraine Almeida (Medas); his children, Paula, Cheryl, Sandra, Susan, Thomas and Andrew; his grandchildren, Timothy (Bridget), Sean, Katherine, Matthew, Mikaela and Raquel; and his great grandchild Ronan.
