He was predeceased by: his parents, Manuel S. Fernandez and Eva Fernandez (Vasconcellos); and his brothers, Manuel A. Fernandez, Joaquim Fernandes (Jack) and Thomas J. Fernandes.
He is survived by: his wife Lorraine Fernandes (Boucher); his children, Rhonda Senra (John) of Dartmouth, Ronald J. Fernandes Jr. (Tracy) of Swansea and Sherrie Carreiro (John) of Westport; his siblings, Michael Fernandes, David Fernandes, Elaine Medeiros, Elizabeth Pereira and Ruth Fernandes; his grandchildren, Brandon Carreiro, Cory Fernandes, Jayda Carreiro and Evan Senra; and his great grandchild Brantley Carreiro. He is also survived by many nieces & nephews.
