He was loved and cherished by many people including: his wife Doris Emond (Henley); his son Lt. Richard Gregg Emond; his grandchildren, Richard Zackary Emond (Sarah), Aaron G. Emond and Stephanie M. Erhard (Joshua); his daughter Beverly Balan (Arnaldo); his grandsons, Christopher Balan (Samantha) and Michael Balan (Samantha); his daughter Brenda Lee Woodcock (Bruce); his grandchildren, Lisa Rauer (Justin) and Andrew Woodcock (Yuri); his parents, Leo Emond and Mabel Emond (Thompson); and his siblings, Shirley Bruneau, Robert Emond and Roland Emond. He was also cherished by 10 great grandchildren and many nieces and nephews.
