Maria Silva Mendonca Obituary

The memory of Maria Silva Mendonca of Swansea, Massachusetts, who passed away on February 18, 2025 at the age of 85, will forever remain in the hearts of those touched by this precious presence in their lives. She was predeceased by: her parents, Manuel Cabral Silva and Mariana Silva (Furtado); and her husband Manuel Vieira Mendonca. She is survived by: her sons, Steve Mendonca (Ram Levi) of Ft. Lauderdale, FL and David Mendonca (Heather Mendonca) of Rehoboth, MA; her granddaughters, Brooke and Madisyn of Swansea, MA; and her siblings, Manuel Silva of Vero Beach, FL and Margaret Fitta of Tiverton, RI. She is also survived by several nieces and nephews.

Visitation will be held on Sunday, February 23rd 2025 from 3:00 PM to 6:00 PM at the Manuel Rogers Funeral Home (1521 N Main St, Fall River, MA 02720). A funeral service will be held on Monday, February 24th 2025 at 9:00 AM at the same location. A funeral Mass will be held on Monday, February 24th 2025 at 10:00 AM at the St. John of God Church (1036 Brayton Ave, Somerset, MA 02726). An entombment will be held on Monday, February 24th 2025 at the Notre Dame Cemetery (1540 Stafford Rd, Fall River, MA 02724).
