With heavy hearts, we announce the death of Leatrice Souza (Swansea, Massachusetts), who passed away on January 8, 2025 at the age of 97. Family and friends are welcome to send flowers or leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
In the vast expanse of eternity, Leatrice shall find rest, cradled in the arms of everlasting peace. And as we bid Leatrice farewell, her loved ones carry with them the precious gift of her memory, a beacon of hope guiding them through the shadows of sorrow towards the light of a new dawn.
She was predeceased by: her husband Michael B. Souza; her parents, Manuel Pereira and Maria Pereira (Cabral); and her siblings, Edward V. Pereira and Olivia Dias.
She is survived by: her children, Paul M. Souza and Claudia Myers; her grandchildren, Adam S. Myers and Katie N. Souza; and her sister Lorraine Farias. She is also survived by several nieces and nephews.
Visitation was held on Tuesday, January 14th 2025 from 2:00 PM to 6:00 PM at the Manuel Rogers Funeral Home (1521 N Main St, Fall River, MA 02720). A funeral service was held on Wednesday, January 15th 2025 at 8:45 AM at the same location. A Mass of Christian burial was held on Wednesday, January 15th 2025 at 10:00 AM at the St. Francis of Assisi Church (530 Gardners Neck Road, Swansea, MA 02777). A burial was held on Wednesday, January 15th 2025 at the Saint Patrick's Cemetery (2233 Robeson St, Fall River, MA 02720).
