With solemn reverence, we commemorate Irene Mello of Swansea, Massachusetts, whose life came to an end on February 22, 2025 at the age of 98, leaving behind cherished memories. She was predeceased by: her spouse Arsenio Mello; her parents, Manuel Dias and Julia Dias (Arruda); and her brother Everett Dias. She is survived by: her children, Lakeville, David Mello, Joyce Gillet, Steve Mello, Rosemary Mello, Brian Mello, Colleen Furtado and Shelia Foster. She is also survived by 14 grandchildren, 14 great-grandchildren and one great-great grandchild.
Visitation will be held on Thursday, February 27th 2025 from 5:00 PM to 8:00 PM at the Manuel Rogers Funeral Home (1521 N Main St, Fall River, MA 02720). A funeral service will be held on Friday, February 28th 2025 at 9:00 AM at the same location. A Mass of Christian burial will be held on Friday, February 28th 2025 at 10:00 AM at the St. John of God Church (1036 Brayton Ave, Somerset, MA 02726). A burial will be held on Friday, February 28th 2025 at the Mount Hope Cemetery.
