It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Gilbert Fred Stansfield of Swansea, Massachusetts, born in Fall River, Massachusetts, who passed away on November 28, 2022, at the age of 87, leaving to mourn family and friends. He was predeceased by: his wife Sheila Jean Stansfield (Murphy); his parents, Thomas Stansfield and Gladys Stansfield (Wilkinson); and his sibling Thomas Stansfield (Betty). He is survived by: his children, David Stansfield of Fall River and Elizabeth Cardin (Marc); his grandsons, Andrew and Nicholas of Albuquerque; his son Gilbert Stansfield (Candace); his grandchildren, Aodhan, Thaire and Eoin of Dighton; and his siblings, Mary Beth Stansfield and Tommy Stansfield. He is also survived by nieces and nephews.
