He was predeceased by: his wife Maria V. Monteiro (Jorge); his parents, Jorge Monteiro and Maria Jose Monteiro (Sousa Medeiros); and his siblings, Jorge Monteiro, Angelina Monteiro, Estrelina Mendoza, Domingos Monteiro and Lurdes Monteiro.

He is survived by: his son Paul Monteiro of Swansea; his granddaughter Tiffany DoRego; and his great grandchildren, Cameron Teasdale, Manuel Lopez and Breidy DoRego.
