She was predeceased by: her spouse Professor Emeritus Paul J. Parente; her parents, Pasquale Sarti and Lucia Sarti (Gragnani); and her siblings, Yolanda Medeiros, Francis, John and Lewis Sarti.

She is survived by: her grandchildren, Sarah, Shane, Sage, Raina, Koral, Roman and Lea Parente. She is also survived by 4 great-grandchildren along with several nieces and nephews.

She was a recipient of the Bronze Pelican Award for her contributions to Catholic Scouting.
