She was predeceased by: her husband Daniel Turkanis; her parents, David Kirstein and Sadie Kirstein; her brother Harold Kirstein; and her son Michael Turkanis (Harriet).
She is survived by: her children, Richard Turkanis (Wendy), Barry Turkanis (Ellen) and Joan Stone (Jim); and her grandchildren, Dara Turkanis, David Turkanis (Lauren), Lauren Shkolnik (Alec), Jeffrey Turkanis (Jamie), Amanda Jaffe (Jared), Whitney Turkanis, Millard Hassani, Jonathan Stone (Amanda), Melissa Shankar (Prithvi), Andrew Turkanis (Molly) and Max Turkanis.
A funeral service for Ruth will be held on Thursday, September 1, 2022 at 1:00PM at Congregation Shirat Hayam of the North Shore, 55 Atlantic Ave, Swampscott, MA 01907 (proof of Covid vaccination required).
