We bid farewell to Rust Pappathanasi of Swampscott, Massachusetts, born in South Berwick, Maine, whose journey of life gracefully concluded on May 20, 2024 at the age of 85. Rust touched countless lives with warmth and kindness, leaving behind cherished memories that will forever echo in hearts. She was predeceased by: her parents, William Humber and Dorothy Humber (Mahar); and her brother Leonard "Lennie" Humber. She is survived by: her husband Arthur Pappathanasi; her daughters, Kym Pappathanasi of Beverly and Dena P. Trotta (Michael R. Trotta) of West Newbury; her granddaughter Alexandra; and her pets, Renny, Phineas, Summit, Maistrellis and Scangas. She is also survived by nieces and nephews.
