She was predeceased by: her husband Gerald Appel; her father Harry Miller; and her sister Patricia Minsk. She is survived by: her mother Tilly Miller (Rosenberg); her children, Vicki Engelberg (Mark), Howard Appel and Dana Appel Young; her grandchildren, Robert Appel, Michael Appel, Stephen Appel, Samantha Mata (Ivan), Harrison Young (Hannah) and Charlie Young; and her great grandchild Frida Mata.
