With heavy hearts, we announce the death of Jonas Howard Chaves (Swampscott, Massachusetts), who passed away on April 18, 2020. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
He was predeceased by: his parents, Samuel Chaves and Ida Chaves; his sister Mildred Harris (Chaves); and his nephew Eric Covner. He is survived by: his siblings, Shirley Covner (Chaves) and Doris Newman (Chaves); his niece Debra Mozes (Jack Mozes); his nephews, Richard Harris (Catherine O'Connell Harris), Lawrence Newman (Elisabeth Flaster Newman) and Robert Newman; and his great-nieces and great-nephews, Sarah Dussault (Mozes), Laura Cutler (Mozes), Emily Harris, Susannah Harris, Lily Harris, Justin and Corey Newman. He is also survived by three great-grandnieces and one great-grandnephew.
Jonas Howard Chaves of Swampscott, entered into rest on April 18, 2020 following complications from Covid-19, at the age of 86.
