It is with great sadness that we announce the death of John P. Hoffman of Swampscott, Massachusetts, born in Lynn, Massachusetts, who passed away on November 29, 2023, at the age of 69, leaving to mourn family and friends. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
He was predeceased by: his parents, Charles "Red" Hoffman and Virginia Hoffman; his siblings, James Hoffman, Peggy Pedro and Michael Hoffman; and his aunt Eleanor Whyte.
He is survived by: his daughter Valerie Ashe (Joseph Ashe) of Tewksbury; his significant other Karen McKay of Swampscott; his stepson Christopher Carnevale (Florence) of Beverly; his grandchildren, John, Ellie Ashe of Tewksbury, Leah, William Carnevale of Beverly, Connor McKay of Swampscott, Lillian McKay of Beverly, Shaun, Alexandra McKay of New Bedford, Gianni, Gianna and Alannah McKay of Lynn; his siblings, Patricia Ann Knight (Wayne) of Lynn and Peter Hoffman (Fraser) of Tucson; and his brother-in-law Frank Pedro of Cambridge. He is also survived by many aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in John's name to Tedy's Team, a charitable organization that supports stroke survivors.
