She was predeceased by: her mother Anna; her brother Submariner Joseph Hoague (Thresher); her grandson Benjamin Bishop; and her son-in-law Roland Guevin. She is survived by: her husband Donald; her children, John'Billy', Karen, Donnie (Stacey), Danny (Diane), David (Kathy), Jon (Lynda), Steven and Susan; her grandchildren, Matt (Melissa), Elizabeth (Wayne), Sarah (Doug), Brittany (Tony), Emily (Maciek), Taylor (Jillian), Nick (Caroline), Joshua (Tory) and Jolyn (Nate); and her sister-in-law Judy Hoague. She is also survived by 13 great-grandchildren.
In lieu of flowers contributions in Joanne's memory may be made to the Alzheimer's Association or Care Dimensions.
